Racing Incident Report

CHERISHED began awkwardly, got its head up and as a consequence lost ground. On jumping, FRAT RAT was crowded for room between BUCK'S FIZZ and CAPITAL GAIN, both of which shifted ground. This caused FRAT RAT and CAPITAL GAIN to become unbalanced. SHANGHAI FRIEND and TELECOM BABE were slow to begin. In the early stages, TELECOM BABE proved difficult to settle. At the 1300 Metres, CAPITAL GAIN was steadied when crowded for room between MY PRIZE and FRAT RAT which got its head on the side and shifted in away from JOYFUL STAR. Following this incident, CAPITAL GAIN was then obliged to race wide and without cover. Also at the 1300 Metres, FANTASTIC WIN became unbalanced after being bumped by CHERISHED which shifted in. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, FAST FAST FAST became unbalanced. Rounding the Home Turn, JOYFUL STAR hung out and then after the 200 Metres shifted out and caused some inconvenience to LATTE which as a result was steadied. In the early part of the Straight, WHATA FEELING had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 200 Metres, CAPITAL GAIN, which was commencing to give ground, became unbalanced when momentarily crowded between FRAT RAT and WHATA FEELING (G Mossé) which shifted in. G Mossé was advised to exercise more care. D Whyte (CLASSA VICTORY) was reprimanded for a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post and told he should refrain from such display until after the line. CAPITAL GAIN was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, CAPITAL GAIN was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No significant findings were made. CLASSA VICTORY and KALIMANTAN were sent for sampling.
