Racing Incident Report
GRANDIOSO, which was standing with its head turned, began very awkwardly and lost a considerable amount of ground at the start. On jumping, CORAJOSO blundered. Also on jumping, FLASH HARRY, which was slow to begin, shifted out abruptly. In the early stages, GALLANT HORSE proved difficult to settle, on a number of occasions got its head up, was obliged to race three wide and without cover near the lead and then gave ground in the Straight. Near the 600 Metres, FORTUNE LIFE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SAN LORENZO. Also near the 600 Metres, CORAJOSO was unbalanced when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BORN DRAGON. Throughout the race, from a wide barrier, PORTER RICKS was obliged to race wide and without cover. Apprentice M W Leung explained he was concerned with the action of WELL EXPRESS over the concluding stages, therefore he did not ride his mount out to the end of the race. Before being permitted to race again, WELL EXPRESS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SAN LORENZO, KALIMANTAN and FLASH HARRY were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted FLASH HARRY had lost its right front plate.
