Racing Incident Report
COSMO SUCCESS bounded in the air on jumping and lost ground. ALBELA began awkwardly and bumped the inside gate of its stall, causing R Fradd, its rider, to become unbalanced. JOHNNY JUMP UP bounded in the air at the start and shortly afterwards became unbalanced when bumped by LA MERVEILLE which shifted out. Shortly after this, SHOW BRAVELY shifted out away from THE FACULTY and bumped LA MERVEILLE. After the 1200 Metres, SHOW BRAVELY, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of C'EST LA VIE. After this, SHOW BRAVELY hung in for the remainder of the race. Prior to straightening, ALBELA was bumped and carried wider by COSMO SUCCESS which was shifting out in an endeavour to improve. On straightening, JOHNNY JUMP UP was steadied and shifted to the inside of PORT OF HOPE to obtain clear running. Approaching the 200 Metres, COSMO SUCCESS, which was having some difficulty obtaining clear running, was shifted out to improve between LA MERVEILLE and DASH FOR VICTORIES. Throughout the race, LA MERVEILLE raced wide and without cover. COSMO SUCCESS, RISING WIN and THE FACULTY were sent for sampling.
