Racing Incident Report
EQUATOR KID was withdrawn on raceday morning on veterinary grounds (lame left fore). Before being allowed to race again, EQUATOR KID will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SUPER COMBED and SURVEYOR were slow to begin. On jumping, PERPETUAL PLEASURE and LANCETTIER bumped. When the gates opened, AGILITY bounded in the air and lost ground. In the early stages, LANCETTIER raced wide and without cover. Near the 1200 Metres, CYPRESS HILL got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of AMBITIOUS TYCOON. After the 400 Metres, CYPRESS HILL became unbalanced when being steadied away from the heels of PERPETUAL PLEASURE which was improving towards the outside of CELEBRATION (O Doleuze) which itself when not properly clear was shifting out into clear running. O Doleuze was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground. Over the concluding stages, LUCKSWELL and CELEBRATION raced tight inside the heels of LUCKY SIXER which drifted in. Because of this, CELEBRATION was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. S K Sit (HEALTHY WEALTHY) explained from the inside barrier he had today been instructed to ride the horse along for the first 200 metres, ensure it was in a forward position, then allow runners to improve around his outside and take a sit behind the leaders. After the race, D Holland, the rider of AMBITIONS TYCOON, reported the horse did not seem to be striding out freely. AMBITIOUS TYCOON was sent for an official veterinary inspection. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, AMBITIOUS TYCOON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HEALTHY WEALTHY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of HEALTHY WEALTHY after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER COMBED and PERPETUAL PLEASURE were sent for sampling.
