Racing Incident Report
On jumping, MAGIC HANDS and WINFIELD bumped. In the early stages, LUCKY GOOD DAY hung in. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, WINFIELD jumped a shadow, became unbalanced and bumped the running rail. Near the 1300 Metres, WINFIELD was momentarily crowded for room inside CELEBRATION. Near the 900 Metres, KONRAD THE GREAT got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of MAGIC HANDS. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, MASTERY was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SHANGHAI KING. Also making the turn at the 600 Metres, DANRIVA got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of CELEBRATION. On straightening, KONRAD THE GREAT, which had been shifting wider on the track, was steadied and shifted to the inside of MAGIC HANDS to obtain clear running. Over the final 200 Metres, MASTERY hung in and proved difficult to ride out. Over about the final 100 Metres, KONRAD THE GREAT was not able to obtain clear running and because of this the horse was not properly tested. Near the 50 Metres, EARL GREY, which was closing the race off, was steadied when momentarily held up for running inside CELEBRATION and behind LUCKY GOOD DAY. Just prior to the winning post, SHANGHAI KING was crowded for room between MAGIC HANDS and MASTERY. Because of this, SHANGHAI KING was not ridden out to the line as it normally would be. TEMMOKU, WINFIELD and KONRAD THE GREAT were sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of TEMMOKU, WINFIELD and KONRAD THE GREAT after the race did not show any significant findings. The performances of TEMMOKU and WINFIELD, which tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, TEMMOKU and WINFIELD will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. LUCKY GOOD DAY and DANRIVA were sent for sampling.
