Racing Incident Report

MULTI MILLIONS was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, MULTI MILLIONS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. On jumping, CIRCULAR MACHINE bumped with WELL NOTED. ALL TIME HIGH bounded in the air at the start and lost ground, then from the outside barrier shortly afterwards was taken across behind runners. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, FAT DRAGON was slow to muster speed and then throughout the race travelled wide and without cover. Shortly after straightening, KOWLOON FIT was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for running between SUPER CHARGE and QUEST FOR LOVE which at this time shifted out. At the 250 Metres, KOWLOON FIT and CIRCULAR MACHINE bumped when endeavouring to improve into the same run. After this, KOWLOON FIT was shifted out to go forward. When questioned regarding the poor performance of SUPER CHARGE, a last start winner, Apprentice K T Yeung explained in his opinion the horse did not appreciate racing with the blinkers removed and this attributed to the horse’s performance. The Stewards will interview Mr A Lee, trainer of SUPER CHARGE, regarding this matter. Z Purton (PRESENT TREASURE) explained when making the first turn at the 1300 Metres his mount commenced to shift wider on the track, locked its jaw and continued to race wide despite his efforts to have his mount shift back to race with the field. He said on entering the Back Straight PRESENT TREASURE shifted to the outside fence and it was not until approaching the turn at the 600 Metres that he was able to have his mount shift back across to race with the field. As PRESENT TREASURE has performed similarly in the past, the Stewards will interview Mr P F Yiu, trainer of the horse, regarding the horse’s racing future. PRESENT TREASURE and SUPER CHARGE were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of PRESENT TREASURE and SUPER CHARGE after the race did not show any significant findings. ADD THE FUN, QUEST FOR LOVE and LE ROSSIGNOL were sent for sampling.
