Racing Incident Report
LUFENG FORTUNE was fractious in the barriers, then began awkwardly. Before being allowed to race again, LUFENG FORTUNE will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. BIG WINNER AGAIN was slow to begin. WINNING FIRST began awkwardly. Both BIG PROFIT and WILFRED’S PET began awkwardly and lost ground at the start. In the early and middle stages, BIG WINNER AGAIN hung in and then approaching the 100 Metres was momentarily steadied away from the heels of SEIZE THE DAY which shifted in. Approaching the 500 Metres, BIG PROFIT was steadied away from the heels of WILFRED’S PET. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of WINNING FIRST, D Beadman said the horse travelled well until the 400 Metres at which point the horse commenced to lay in badly. He said shortly after this the horse came off the bit and was disappointing in its failure to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. WINNING FIRST was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. LUFENG FORTUNE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of WINNING FIRST and LUFENG FORTUNE after the race did not show any significant findings. SEIZE THE DAY and STORMIN JOBURG were sent for sampling.
