Racing Incident Report
AMBITIOUS GENERAL was slow to begin. In the early stages, when being steadied, SIGHT WINNER got its head up on several occasions. After entering the Back Straight, SIGHT WINNER, which was proving difficult to settle, again got its head up on several occasions and shifted out away from the heels of VIVA PATACA. When the tempo of the race steadied making the turn at the 800 Metres, BULLISH CASH was steadied away from the heels of EYSHAL. JACKPOT DELIGHT, which was following, was steadied to avoid the heels of BULLISH CASH. At the same time, SIGHT WINNER was steadied away from the heels of VIVA PATACA. After the 800 Metres, SIGHT WINNER, which was continuing to over-race, got its head up and shifted out into a three wide position when being steadied away from the heels of VIVA PATACA. After this, SIGHT WINNER travelled wide and without cover. At the 500 Metres, BULLISH CASH, which was endeavouring to shift out, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of VIVA PATACA. On straightening, AMBITIOUS GENERAL was crowded for room between SIGHT WINNER and BULLISH CASH which shifted out. K T Yeung (VIVA MACAU) reported on entering the Back Straight his saddle shifted back which placed him at a disadvantage in riding his mount out for the remainder of the race. VIVA MACAU was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of VIVA MACAU after the race did not show any significant findings. VIVA PATACA and PACKING WINNER were sent for sampling.
