Racing Incident Report
GREAT LUCK, which was leaning on the inside of its stall, was slow to begin. From a wide draw, HORACE’S LEGEND was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after the start, HOLD HANDS was steadied when crowded for room between GOOD LUCK WIN which shifted out and HAPPY AMBASSADOR which shifted in after being bumped by CARS KING PRAWN. Near the 100 Metres, GREAT LUCK was steadied when attempting a run between TRAVEL GUIDE and FLUKE, both of which shifted some ground. After this, GREAT LUCK was held up for clear running behind TRAVEL GUIDE. Over the concluding stages, NORDIC STAR got its head on the side and shifted in under pressure. A veterinary inspection of HOLD HANDS after the race revealed that the horse was lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, HOLD HANDS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that STAR OF FAME had lost its left front plate. MY GOAL and NORDIC STAR were sent for sampling.
