Racing Incident Report

HEALTHY FARM was checked at the start when crowded for room between LUCKY AMORE and BONDI LAD, both of which shifted ground. As the start was effected, TOPPING LIGHT lifted its front feet off the ground, then began awkwardly and knuckled over, resulting in TOPPING LIGHT losing ground. Near the 1100 Metres, BONDI LAD, which had its head on the side and was shifting in, was checked by its rider and lost a considerable amount of ground when racing tight inside LUCKY AMORE which at this time was itself racing tight inside MY TIME which, despite the efforts of its rider, got its head on the side and shifted in. HEALTHY FARM, which was following, was checked in consequence. As the Stewards were of the view that no rider error was involved in this incident, no further action was taken. FRESH AIR travelled wide and without cover until passing the 600 Metres. After the 600 Metres, MI REILLY was left racing wide and without cover. Approaching the 50 Metres, FULFIL A WISH was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of MI REILLY which shifted in under pressure. Over the final 50 Metres, CONFUCIUS CLASSIC, which was commencing to close off the race, was held up for clear running behind PERFECT FIT. Because of this, CONFUCIUS CLASSIC was not properly tested over the concluding stages. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that BONDI LAD had lost its right front plate. FULFIL A WISH, BOLERO and MI REILLY were sent for sampling.
