Racing Incident Report

From the outside barrier, KING’S PACT was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Shortly after the start, DARPANA was steadied when crowded for room between HAPPY FOREVER and CULTURAL CITY which got its head on the side and shifted out.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, GOLD BALL failed to muster speed.
Making the first turn near the 700 Metres, LUCKY GAINS (B Prebble) shifted in marginally despite the efforts its rider, resulting in COSTA DEL SOL becoming badly unbalanced and losing ground when crowded for room. DARPANA, which was following, was hampered in consequence. As the Stewards were satisfied that B Prebble had made sufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting ground, no further action was taken.
After the 700 Metres, HAPPY FOREVER was left racing wide and without cover.
Over the concluding stages, RAINBOW FIGHTER (D Whyte) was awkwardly placed outside the heels of CHEETAH BOY which got its head on the side and shifted out. Because of this, RAINBOW FIGHTER was not ridden out to the end of the race as it otherwise would be. D Whyte was told that whilst his riding out of the horse over the concluding stages did not affect its finishing position, nonetheless he should ride his mounts out at least hands and heels to the end of the race wherever circumstances permit.
A veterinary inspection of HAPPY FOREVER and TURIN CHAMPION after the race did not show any significant findings.
SLICK BULLET, CHEETAH BOY and CULTURAL CITY were sent for sampling.
