Racing Incident Report

NAUGHTY BABY was crowded for room at the start between DEMON DEMON and JAZZY FEELING, both of which shifted ground.
From the outside barrier, CONFUCIUS ELITE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, JADE CHRISTY failed to muster speed and when racing wide was steadied after the 1100 Metres and shifted across behind runners to obtain a position with cover.
Making the first turn near the 1000 Metres, FRIENDS OF YAN OI raced tight inside GOLDEN GUNNERS which got its head on the side and hung in away from RED COURAGE. Then near the 900 Metres and again at the 600 Metres, FRIENDS OF YAN OI was further crowded for room inside GOLDEN GUNNERS which continued to get its head on the side and shift in despite the efforts of its rider.
For some distance after the 900 Metres, KA WAI FORTUNE raced greenly and after the 800 Metres got its head on the side and shifted in. After this, KA WAI FORTUNE continued to race ungenerously and was inclined to lay in.
Approaching the 600 Metres, NAUGHTY BABY, which had been ridden along after the 800 Metres to hold its position, lost ground when steadied due to JADE CHRISTY (A Suborics) shifting in. A Suborics was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future. After being steadied, NAUGHTY BABY shifted out and bumped JAZZY FEELING, causing both horses to become unbalanced and NAUGHTY BABY to lose further ground.
Shortly after entering the Straight, KA WAI FORTUNE was shifted out away from the heels of NOVEL START.
Also shortly after entering the Straight, GOLDEN GUNNERS got its head on the side and hung in towards the heels of RED COURAGE. After this, GOLDEN GUNNERS continued to lay in under pressure.
After the 200 Metres, JAZZY FEELING shifted in under pressure.
After the 100 Metres, DEMON DEMON got its head on the side and shifted in, resulting in its rider, Z Purton, changing his whip into his right hand.
Over the concluding stages, DEMON DEMON and GOLDEN GUNNERS raced tight due to GOLDEN GUNNERS shifting in under pressure.
In the Straight, NAUGHTY BABY hung in under pressure and proved difficult to ride.
Throughout the race, NOVEL START travelled wide and without cover.
NAUGHTY BABY, JAZZY FEELING and BORN TO WIN were sent for sampling.
