Racing Incident Report
GOLDEN BAUHINIA shifted out at the start, resulting in DELIGHT FORTUNE being taken out onto D DAY SUPER.
FIERY FOUR BY FOUR was crowded for room at the start between SUNSHINE KID and MIGHTY GAINS which shifted out.
K Teetan (GOLDEN BAUHINIA) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that after the 800 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of SUNSHINE KID, causing that horse to be taken in across the rightful running of FIERY FOUR BY FOUR which as a result was checked and lost the running to which it was rightfully entitled. In this incident, NOBODY BUT YOU became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by FIERY FOUR BY FOUR. K Teetan was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday, 5 December 2013 on which day he may resume race riding (3 Hong Kong racedays). The commencement of the suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin racemeeting on Sunday, 24 November 2013.
Near the 700 Metres, SUNSHINE KID was hampered when crowded for room inside GOLDEN BAUHINIA which was taken in by FUN ‘N’ GAMES which was in turn taken in by SIGHT BELIEVER (T Angland). T Angland was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear of other runners when shifting ground in future.
Also near the 700 Metres, SUNSHINE KID lost its right hind plate.
Near the 450 Metres, RECORD AGAIN became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by D DAY SUPER which shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of FIERY FOUR BY FOUR.
At the entrance to the Straight, NOBODY BUT YOU and SUNSHINE KID raced tight.
Passing the 300 Metres, SUNNY PEARL was shifted to the inside of FIERY FOUR BY FOUR to obtain clear running.
A veterinary inspection of SUNNY PEARL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FUN ‘N’ GAMES and SIGHT BELIEVER were sent for sampling.
