Racing Incident Report

Whilst in the saddling stalls, LOVELY DELOVELY had its left hind plate refitted. LOVELY DELOVELY was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
MR VANILLA was slow to begin.
FIERY WHISPERER began awkwardly.
Shortly after the start, LOVELY DELOVELY became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by EVERYONE’S CHOICE which, after beginning awkwardly, was taken out by MONEY CAFE.
Passing the 300 Metres, ALL THE WINNERS was shifted out away from the heels of ELEGANT FRAMES which was taken out by LOVELY DELOVELY which shifted ground. A short distance later, LOVELY DELOVELY shifted out abruptly under pressure.
Near the 250 Metres, SKY MAN raced tight outside WHISTLE BLOWER.
For the major part of the race, EVERYONE’S CHOICE (K C Leung) hung out and eventually finished tailed out. K C Leung dropped his whip at the 400 Metres. A veterinary inspection of EVERYONE’S CHOICE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of EVERYONE’S CHOICE was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, EVERYONE’S CHOICE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FIERY WHISPERER had bled from both nostrils.
A veterinary inspection of FAST AND EASY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SKY MAN and WHISTLE BLOWER were sent for sampling.
<10/2/2014 Additional Veterinary Report>The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that LOVELY DELOVELY was found to be lame in its right hind leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, LOVELY DELOVELY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
