Racing Incident Report

GOOD METHOD was withdrawn on 2.11.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter RED SUN. Before being allowed to race again, GOOD METHOD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HAPPY OUT THERE began very awkwardly and got its head up for some distance in the early stages when reluctant to stride out. This resulted in HAPPY OUT THERE losing a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY OUT THERE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
Shortly after the start, RED SUN and GOLDEN DEER were checked when crowded for room inside NEWSWIRE FREE which, after initially being bumped by GOLDEN CANNON which shifted in, then shifted in further away from that horse.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, UNLEASHED DRAGON failed to muster speed.
GOLDEN CANNON lost its right front plate approaching the 700 Metres.
Shortly after entering the Straight, BLISS CARTEL raced in restricted room inside OHANA which was awkwardly placed inside the heels of GOLDEN CANNON. BLISS CARTEL then had difficulty obtaining clear running until near the 200 Metres.
For the majority of the race, ROCKET LET WIN travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
WINNER ST PAUL’S and NEWSWIRE FREE were sent for sampling.
