Racing Incident Report
Soon after the start, PIKACHU was checked away from the heels of GLORIOUS ARTIST which was taken out by PRETTY BAUHINIA which got its head on the side and shifted out away from LITTERATEUR which also shifted out.
Also soon after the start, SICHUAN DAR and INSAYSHABLE bumped.
From wide barriers, SHARP SAILOR and HELENE CHARISMA were shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
Despite being vigorously ridden for a considerable distance in the early stages, PACKING DRAGON failed to muster speed.
After passing the winning post on the first occasion, SUPER CHIC was checked away from the heels of PACKING DRAGON which was awkwardly placed behind PRETTY BAUHINIA. SHARP SAILOR, which was following SUPER CHIC, was steadied in consequence.
At the 1400 Metres, JADE FORTUNE was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 1000 Metres, due to the slow pace, INSAYSHABLE was restrained away from the heels of LITTERATEUR.
Rounding the Home Turn, PRETTY BAUHINIA and SUPER CHIC raced tight as SUPER CHIC improved to the outside of the heels of JADE FORTUNE.
At the 250 Metres, PIKACHU was steadied and shifted to the outside of JADE FORTUNE when disappointed for running between that horse and SICHUAN DAR which shifted out marginally.
At the 175 Metres, PRETTY BAUHINIA was struck across the nose by the whip of K C Leung (HELENE CHARISMA),
K Teetan (SUPER CHIC) dropped his right rein over the concluding stages.
GLORIOUS ARTIST lost its right front plate after the race.
Apprentice C Wong (PRETTY BAUHINIA) was fined the sum of $5,000 for using his whip over the final 150 Metres on a horse which was out of contention.
A veterinary inspection of GLORIOUS ARTIST immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
INSAYSHABLE and SUPER CHIC were sent for sampling.
