Racing Incident Report

HUMBLE STEED was withdrawn on 28.5.19 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter LIGHTNING STEED (Z Purton). Before being allowed to race again, HUMBLE STEED will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
As the start was effected, PRINCE HARMONY lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently began only fairly. PRINCE HARMONY was then crowded for room between HEARTS KEEPER and MEHBOOB which shifted in. After this, PRINCE HARMONY continued to race tight between HEARTS KEEPER and MEHBOOB for a short distance.
BANDY began awkwardly and then was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
From a wide barrier, STAR SUPERIOR was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
From the outside barrier, EXCEL DELIGHT was initially steadied by its rider to obtain cover, however, travelled very keenly and for the majority of the race travelled wide and without cover.
After travelling wide and without cover in the early stages, LIGHTNING STEED was ridden along to improve its position after the 800 Metres to cross STAR LUCK and raced tight outside BULLISH BROTHER.
Near the 75 Metres, WONDERFUL JOURNEY raced tight inside BULLISH BROTHER.
MEHBOOB lost its right front plate after the race.
A veterinary inspection of ALL BEST FRIENDS and EXCEL DELIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WONDERFUL JOURNEY and BULLISH BROTHER were sent for sampling.
