Racing Incident Report

MERRYGOWIN began awkwardly and then, despite being vigorously ridden along, failed to muster speed.
FLYING QUEST was crowded for room on jumping between UNIVERSAL GO GO which shifted out and HARMONY HERO which shifted in abruptly.
From the outside barriers, RICKFIELD, MEGA RED and LET’S TAKE IT EASY were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 600 Metres, FLYING QUEST raced in restricted room when improving into tight running between MEGA RED and TANGMERE. Then passing the 600 Metres, TANGMERE was shifted out away from the heels of TRUE GRIT which shifted out to follow RICKFIELD. This resulted in TANGMERE having to be steadied and bumping the hindquarters of FLYING QUEST, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
A veterinary inspection of RICKFIELD and MERRYGOWIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
TRUE GRIT and UNIVERSAL GO GO were sent for sampling.
