Racing Incident Report

GREEN ENERGY shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of JUMBO LUCK.
RAGING STORM began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped BIG PARTY.
INFINITY ENDEAVOUR began only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of EASY GO EASY WIN which was taken out by GLORIOUS SPECTRUM. After this, GLORIOUS SPECTRUM, EASY GO EASY WIN and INFINITY ENDEAVOUR were all shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Also from a wide barrier, MY DARLING was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Passing the 800 Metres, GREEN ENERGY momentarily raced in restricted room inside THANKS FOREVER.
Passing the 400 Metres, GLORIOUS SPECTRUM got its head on the side and lay in towards the heels of MY DARLING.
Approaching the 200 Metres, REFINED TREASURE and MY DARLING momentarily raced tight between GLORIOUS SPECTRUM which lay in and THANKS FOREVER which got its head on the side and shifted out away from RAGING STORM. THANKS FOREVER was then momentarily awkwardly placed outside RAGING STORM passing the 150 Metres.
Approaching the 50 Metres, GLORIOUS SPECTRUM and RAGING STORM raced tight.
BIG TIME BABY travelled wide and without cover throughout the race.
After the race, K Teetan (THANKS FOREVER) stated that he had to ride his mount along for a considerable distance in the early stages to take up a forward position. He said it was not until after the 1000 Metres that he was able to obtain cover behind TEAM SPIRIT. He said after this THANKS FOREVER travelled satisfactorily, however, came under pressure in the early part of the Straight and then did not finish off the race. He added he attributed this to the amount of use that he had to make of THANKS FOREVER in the early stages. A veterinary inspection of THANKS FOREVER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
When questioned regarding the performance of BIG PARTY, Z Purton stated that his mount travelled satisfactorily in the early and middle stages and continued to do so after shifting to the outside of BIG TIME BABY in the early part of the Straight. He said however that when placed under pressure passing the 350 Metres BIG PARTY shortened stride and was not stretching out which indicated to him that the horse did not appear to be appreciating the "Good to Firm” racing surface. Trainer F C Lor informed the Stewards that it is now his intention to spell BIG PARTY. Before being allowed to race again, BIG PARTY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of BIG PARTY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of REFINED TREASURE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
BIG PARTY, GREEN ENERGY and GLORIOUS SPECTRUM were sent for sampling.
