Racing Incident Report

SIMPLY BRILLIANT shifted out at the start and bumped PRECIOUSSHIP.
FLYING THUNDER and HARMONY VICTORY were steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Near the 1550 Metres, TIME TO CELEBRATE shifted in and bumped GOOD STANDING.
After the 1400 Metres, DARK DREAM was left racing wide and without cover and commenced to travel keenly and improved its position to race outside the lead. DARK DREAM however continued to race in a three wide position without cover and consequently gave ground in the Straight.
After the 1300 Metres, FAT TURTLE was checked away from the heels of GOOD STANDING which was steadied to avoid the heels of ENCOURAGING (Apprentice K H Chan). Apprentice Chan was advised to ensure that he does not reduce the tempo too abruptly so that horses behind him are able to adjust to any reasonable change of tempo.
DARK DREAM and GOOD STANDING raced tight near the 350 Metres.
Passing the 300 Metres, HARMONY VICTORY momentarily raced tight inside KA YING STAR. HARMONY VICTORY was then unable to obtain clear running until near the 200 Metres.
Near the 150 Metres, M F Poon (GOOD STANDING) dropped his whip.
Passing the 50 Metres, FLYING THUNDER was shifted to the outside of FAT TURTLE after being disappointed for running between that horse and TIME TO CELEBRATE.
After the race, Z Purton reported that, in his opinion, KA YING STAR raced too keenly in the middle stages and because of this was not able to finish off the race carrying top weight of 133 lbs. A veterinary inspection of KA YING STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
After the race, V Borges was dislodged from DARK DREAM. V Borges was examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his remaining race riding engagements.
A veterinary inspection of DARK DREAM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
KA YING STAR, SIMPLY BRILLIANT and HARMONY VICTORY were sent for sampling.
