Racing Incident Report

YOUNG HORIZON and LUCKY PLANET bumped at the start.
SO AWESOME jumped awkwardly and then was bumped by AMAZING TRAVIS which shifted out slightly. SO AWESOME was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages and raced ungenerously for a short distance.
In the early stages, SUPER ELITE and CASA LEGEND raced keenly.
After being crossed by YOUNG HORIZON near the 1000 Metres, CHARIZARD shifted out to avoid that runner’s heels. A short distance later, D STAR shifted in towards ALL IS GOOD and was steadied away from that runner. CHARIZARD was then obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter.
Near the 100 Metres, KASI FARASI became held up behind UNPRESUMING. At the 50 Metres, KASI FARASI was shifted to the inside of UNPRESUMING in an attempt to obtain a narrow run between UNPRESUMING and YOUNG HORIZON. As a result, KASI FARASI and YOUNG HORIZON made contact when YOUNG HORIZON (K Teetan) shifted out, causing KASI FARASI to be steadied approaching the winning post and not being ridden out to the finish. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care.
After the race, it was reported that DINOSAUR BOY had bled from both nostrils.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on CASA LEGEND at the request of Trainer C S Shum. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, CASA LEGEND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of D STAR and CHARIZARD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ALL IS GOOD and UNPRESUMING were sent for sampling.
<12/6/2023 Additional Veterinary Reports> CHARIZARD, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. CHARIZARD was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer A T Millard yesterday morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, CHARIZARD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
