Racing Incident Report

1 5 MASTER OF LUCK (G276) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 1450 Metres was steadied away from MIGHTY STAR. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 12 FOXHUNTER WAY (E296) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 1 BEAU GOSSE (G389) From the outside wide barrier was shifted across behind runners, over-raced and refused to settle in the early and middle stages. Lay in under pressure over the final 250 Metres.
4 7 PRECISION GOAL (H016) Sent for sampling post-race.
5 4 SUPERB DADDY (D235) Slow to begin and then was crowded shortly after the start.
6 11 MIGHTY STAR (G117) Over the concluding stages raced tight to the inside of PRECISION GOAL (C L Chau) and approaching the winning post was steadied to avoid that runner. C L Chau was reprimanded.
7 9 HAPPIHOOD (H261) In the early stages raced keenly and for some distance approaching the 1400 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from FOXHUNTER WAY. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, HAPPIHOOD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
8 3 SUPERB MOVE (G304) After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that he was obliged to go forward in the early stages to race outside the lead and, in his opinion, SUPERB MOVE would be better suited when being able to obtain a position with cover. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 2 MEDIC ELITE (G129) Jumped only fairly, shifted in and was bumped. Was ridden along in the early stages and improved to the inside of HAPPIHOOD as that runner was being shifted towards the rail. Near the 1450 Metres HAPPIHOOD got its head up when being corrected by its rider K C Leung, resulting in MEDIC ELITE being crowded for room, becoming unbalanced and losing ground. After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount was disadvantaged by being slow to begin, crowded near the 1450 Metres and settled further back. He added that, in his opinion, MEDIC ELITE would be better suited when being able to race up on the pace. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 6 HAPPY JAI JAI (E069) Near the 300 Metres improved into a narrow run to the outside of SUPERB MOVE and made contact with ANGELS HUNTER on a number of occasions thereafter. Approaching the 150 Metres raced in restricted room between SUPERB MOVE and BEAU GOSSE which shifted in before being corrected by its rider H Bentley. After the race, Z Purton could offer no explanation for his mount’s failure to finish the race off. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 8 ANGELS HUNTER (G193) Bumped for some distance after the 300 Metres. Near the 150 Metres was shifted out and away from HAPPY JAI JAI which was giving ground. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
WV 10 FAITHFUL TRINITY (A247) Withdrawn on 12.3.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left front tendon injury). Before being allowed to race again, FAITHFUL TRINITY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
