H Bentley was advised to exercise more care. When questioned, K De Melo stated that after being steadied away from HINOKAMI KAGURA near the 450 Metres, his mount lost momentum and as a result he elected to shift back to the inside. He said once balanced in the early part of the Home Straight he was able to commence to ride his mount along where it obtained running near the 200 Metres between SPEEDY SMARTIE and SMART FOLKS. |

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE WARRIOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. |
