1 7 CALIFORNIATOTALITY (H418) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 2 LAUGH TALE (G406) After the race, H Bowman explained his instructions were to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages. He added that LAUGH TALE jumped well and when he was unable to restrain it to obtain cover, he elected to allow LAUGH TALE to stride forward to avoid racing wide. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 14 CAN'T GO WONG (H087) Bumped at the start.
4 4 VOLCANIC SPARK (H388) No report.
5 6 G LINER (H072) Approaching the 100 Metres lay out towards LAUGH TALE, resulting in its rider Apprentice Y L Chung having to correct his mount to avoid the heels of LAUGH TALE.
6 1 AESTHETICISM (H289) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the 500 Metres until the 300 Metres was held up for clear running when it improved into a narrow run between TIGER AND GOLD and STORM WINNER. Near the 150 Metres was briefly held up behind CELTIC TIMES and was shifted to that runner’s inside to obtain clear running. Near the 50 Metres shifted in and made contact with FIGHT TIME.
7 3 MISTER DAPPER (H376) No report.
8 12 FIGHT TIME (H409) Jumped awkwardly, shifted out abruptly, made heavy contact with PING HAI COMET and became badly unbalanced.
9 11 CELTIC TIMES (G230) After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount was not suited by the track conditions which, whilst still rated as "Good”, had effects of some rain which had fallen during the meeting. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 5 ABSOLUTE SUNSHINE (H342) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
11 13 SUPER WISE DRAGON (G475) Jumped awkwardly and then was bumped by LAUGH TALE. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the race, K De Melo reported that his mount was not suited by the track conditions which, whilst still rated as "Good”, had effects of some rain which had fallen during the meeting. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
12 8 PING HAI COMET (H344) Bumped heavily on jumping. From the 900 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
13 9 STORM WINNER (J069) In the early part of the Home Straight lay in and for a short distance after the 300 Metres H Bentley dropped his left rein as he was correcting his mount.
14 10 TIGER AND GOLD (J064) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
