Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
1 MEGA BONUS (E184) When questioned regarding the improved performance of MEGA BONUS, Trainer P F Yiu stated that MEGA BONUS was advantaged by being down in grade tonight and being able to race outside the lead in the early and middle stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
4 EMBRACES (J276) Sent for sampling post-race.
11 SPEEDY CHARIOT (H193) Approaching the 1000 Metres was crowded when FLYING WROTE shifted in despite the efforts of its rider when racing tight to the inside of SUPER EAGLE.
10 KOWLOON EAST STAR (E158) No report.
5 FLYING WROTE (J290) In the early stages lay in, resulting in its rider Apprentice Y L Chung having to stop riding and correct his mount near the 1000 Metres. Then continued to lay in for the remainder of the event, resulting in its rider Apprentice Y L Chung changing his whip through to his right hand approaching the 100 Metres.
8 HOSS (H055) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
9 SUPER EAGLE (G408) No report.
3 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) Bumped on the hindquarters on jumping. After the race, L Ferraris reported that his mount was able to obtain a handy position in the early stages, but was unable to run on in the Home Straight which he attributed to the early track pattern of tonight’s racing favouring horses that were racing on-pace. Trainer Y S Tsui stated that DOUBLE BINGO had pleased the stable leading into tonight’s event and had galloped well on Saturday, 27 April 2024 when ridden by Jockey Ferraris. He added that DOUBLE BINGO may have been disadvantaged by the "Good to Yielding” track conditions and as the horse is immature, it also resented the kickback during the running of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
6 SUPER SIXTY (J071) Bumped at the 300 Metres when being shifted out to obtain clear running. When questioned, C Y Ho stated that from an inside barrier the intention was to be more forward on his mount, but SUPER SIXTY jumped only fairly and then was crowded between FLYING WROTE and DOUBLE BINGO, both of which shifted ground. He added that throughout the event SUPER SIXTY hung in and in the Home Straight proved reluctant to shift to the outside of DOUBLE BINGO and as a result he was not able to fully test his mount over the final 300 Metres due to the manner in which it was racing. C Y Ho was warned in relation to using his whip forward of the saddle on one occasion. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 COUNTRY DANCER (H436) Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the left side of its barrier and lost ground. From the outside barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <2/5/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports>After the race, COUNTRY DANCER was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. COUNTRY DANCER was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer J Size this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, COUNTRY DANCER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
7 THE AZURE (J227) From the 600 Metres raced wide and without cover. At the 300 Metres was bumped and became unbalanced when SUPER SIXTY (C Y Ho) shifted to the outside of DOUBLE BINGO in an attempt to obtain clear running. C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care.
2 GOLDEN TITLE (H100) Jumped only fairly. At the 300 Metres was steadied away from THE AZURE.
