2 3 RED SUN (CA046) F Coetzee TT Had run of race in 3rd on inside 2 to 2.5Ls off speed, sent on to grab lead from SUPER MOLLY 200 M out but collared by ELECTRONIC UNICORN just as quickly, stuck on gamely final 100 M.
3 7 SUPER MOLLY (CA043) B Marcus -- Soon led on inside racing a bit keenly, never more than half a length clear and under strong pressure when passed 200 M out, stuck on well to keep 3rd spot. (See Racing Incidents.)

6 2 RED PEPPER (CA196) E Legrix -- Raced 3-wide 4.5Ls off pace through early stages, 5-wide turning into stretch, rather one-paced final 300 M.
7 5 MAN OF HONOUR (BS267) H K Yim H Pulled early racing 2-wide in 4th, turned into straight racing three-quarters of a length off pace but 3-wide, not find much off bridle when they sprinted for line.
8 6 SHAXI FORTUNE (BT096) J Egan B2 Settled about 5Ls off early pace racing 2-wide, niggled 700 M out to keep position, improved to sit 2.5Ls off pace turning in, not come on in straight.
9 4 MERIDIAN STAR (BV177) S Dye SR Held up in rear racing 2-wide and 7Ls off pace, niggled to get closer 500 M out, 3.5Ls off pace turning in, went for along inside 300 M out but never posed any threat to principals.
10 10 COMMANDER CHARLIE (BS155) M W Leung SR Held in rear or next to rear racing 3-wide, turning racing 5-wide and 5Ls off pace, raced down middle of track in stretch, no impression.
11 12 LIFELINE EXPRESS (CA228) W M Lai -- Away well, raced 2-wide in second until 400 M out, found nothing off bridle and beaten 300 M out.
12 11 CHEERS HONG KONG (CA172) D Dunn B Slowest away, raced on inside and in rear bunch 7Ls off pace, travelled kindly until home stretch when clearly outpaced, eased down.
