3 9 SWISS LAD (CC209) D Dunn SR-/B1 Urged to go near pace shortly after start. Remained 2-wide and 2Ls behind pace until 400 M. Ran on steadily for a minor placing.
4 1 BACCHUS (CB009) W Smith BO/P Jumped to an early lead. Maintained a 2Ls cushion until being challenged inside final 400 M. Lost lead inside final 100 M and was edged out for a minor placing.
5 10 BRILLIANT (BV278) D Whyte B Soon raced in the rear section. Was 4-wide turning in. Good response when asked on straightening and closed the race off well in the final stages to be nearest at finish despite hanging in over final 200 M.
6 4 FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (CB263) S K Sit -- First out from wide draw and was ridden along. Soon outpaced and settled 3-wide around midfield until straightening. Gave a good run in the straight and made up good ground in the closing stages.
7 13 SOUTHERN LIGHT (CB439) A Marcus B1 Slowly away and was soon pushed along to race within 3Ls of the lead 800 M out until final 400 M. Ran on steadily to line.
8 2 WHATA FEELING (CB267) G Mosse -- Eased to race at the rear despite jumping well from widest draw and was in last place at 800 M. Near the rear and widest turning in. Made a strong run on straightening and recovered substantial ground in straight.
9 8 DYNAMIC COMBO (CC276) R Fradd SR Crowded on jumping and soon racing in last place. Reminded after 800 M and hung out wide rounding home turn. Ran on quite well on straightening and made up good ground in the straight.
10 7 PREMIER SPEED (CB213) K T Yeung SR Niggled along to race near midfield in the early stages. Dropped back slightly near 800 M and was running behind midfield rounding home. Only one-paced on straightening.
11 11 LIGHTING THE WORLD (CC164) Y T Cheng -- Raced wide near rear section early. Pushed along to improve position 900 M out and was racing 3-wide near midfield rounding the turn. Failed to quicken upon straightening and one-paced thereafter.
12 5 HAPPY KID (CC326) G Schofield -- Settled 3-wide near midfield early. Lost ground when steadied near 900 M and was racing near the rear upon straightening. Found nothing in the straight.
13 6 RED WINNER (CC252) A Delpech -- Showed no early speed despite being urged and raced near the rear. Continued to drop back and was racing in last place after 600 M. No improvement thereafter and only ran past a weakening runner in the straight.
14 12 SMART KING (CC272) M W Leung -- Slowest to jump and was ridden hard to be near midfield. Niggled along but commence to drift back after 800 M. Weakened shortly after straightening.
