2 8 WINNING POWER (CD147) A Marcus -- Broke fairly and hard ridden along to race in a forward position 2 to 3 wide through to straight. Responded quite well when asked 350 M but was unable to match speed with the winner inside final 150 M to settle for 2nd.
3 6 FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (CB263) G Schofield B Best out and ridden along to lead on rail until the 900 M. Dropped back to race 1L off pace to straight. Ran on fairly when asked 350 M out but without threatening the 1st pair. (Lame left front leg.)
4 3 GOLDEN FARM (CA069) H W Lai B Slightly slow out of the gates and hard ridden in the early stages to take lead on rail from 900 M. Kept on fairly in early part of straight but was headed near the 200 M and became one-pace thereafter.
5 12 UPPA HAND (CD221) O Doleuze SR-/B1 Began fairly and pushed along to race in midfield on better on rail through to straight. Unable to quicken when asked 400 M and only ran on evenly to the line.
6 7 MULTI MILLIONS (CD207) D Whyte B Broke well from wide draw and pushed along to race in a forward position 3 wide without cover to straight. Unable to move up a gear when asked 400 M out and only kept on same pace to the line.
7 2 TABBRIS (CB088) G Mosse -- Began fairly and niggled along to race in midfield 2 to 3 wide with cover through to straight. Hung in in straight and proved difficult to ride out. Only kept on evenly to the line when asked 350 M out.
8 13 NOBLE VICTORY (CC022) P H Lo -- Ridden along to race in midfield 2 wide. In the middle stages commenced to hang out and near the 600 M was steadied away from heels. No extra in straight and kept on evenly to the line.
9 11 BRAVE COMMANDER (CC322) C Williams B Slightly out-paced in the early stages to race worse than midfield 4 wide without cover. Made steady headway from the outside at home bend. Weakened steadily from 4th at 250 M.
10 10 WIN DANCER (CC357) A Delpech SR1 Unable to muster early speed to race behind midfield 2 wide through to straight. Unable to make any impression when asked 400 M out.
11 5 COOL SWING (CB364) J Holder -- On jumping bounded in the air and stumbled. Soon recovered to race in worse than midfield 3 wide. Hung out rounding the home bend. Made no impression in the straight.
12 1 ADD THE FUN (CD308) T Mundry -- Outpaced in the early stages to race behind midfield on rail. Hung out at home turn and near the 600 M was checked when crowded for room. Unable to make up any ground in the straight.
13 9 FIRST ON (CD282) W M Lai -- Jumped fairly from wide draw but unable to show early speed to race in a rearward position 3 wide. Switched to the outside at home turn to obtain clear running. Failed to show any running in the straight.
14 14 BACK SEAT DRIVER (CA011) H K Yim SR-/V Began well from widest and niggled along to race in midfield or better 3 wide to straight. Found nothing when asked 400 M out and steadily faded inside final 200 M.
