1 10 KIDDYLAND (CC063) S Dye -- From a wide draw was immediately eased to a rearward position 2 to 3-wide. Made steady headway from the outside rounding the home turn. Found the line well when asked 250 M out and grabbed the winner spot in a ding-dong finish.
2 6 CELESTIAL STEEL (CD272) F Coetzee -- Jumped well and niggled along to race in a prominent position on rail. From the 1200 M was awkwarded on heels on couple of occasions. Shifted out on straightening and ran on well but just lost out in a very close finish.
3 3 CHEEKY (CA266) R Fradd -- Jumped fairly and steady settled in midfield 2-wide. Near the 500 M was checked when crowded for room. Shifted the widest in early part of straight to make its run and made up good ground inside final 200 M to be closest at finish.
4 12 SHANGHAI KING (CC188) Y T Cheng TT Tardy start and soon settled in a rearward position on rail through to straight. Whilst closing the race off fairly was crowded for room near the 200 M and continued to run on well thereafter.
5 5 VICTORY WARRIOR (CA338) H W Lai V Broke well and led briefly on rail being fairly steadied to race around 1 to 2Ls off pace from 1200 M to straight. Under pressure 200 M out and plugged on gamely to the line without threatening the placegetters.
6 9 DETERMINATION (CD075) G Schofield -- Slowly away and ridden along to race in midfield on inner through to straight. Whilst closing the race off fairly was crowded for room near the 200 M and ran on evenly thereafter.
7 4 FAMOUS DANCER (CD353) D Whyte B/H Broke fairly and niggled along to race in better than midfield 3-wide whilst hanging in. Allowed to go forward to race 1/2L off pace down back straight. Continued to hang in in straight and only kept on evenly to the line.
8 7 ARABIAN WAGER (CD048) W M Lai -- Began fairly and niggled along to take lead on rail shortly after the 1200 M with around 1/2L advantage to straight. Headed shortly after the 200 M and steadily weakened thereafter.
9 8 DANRIVA (CA040) O Doleuze -- Slow to begin and soon raced at back on rail. Near the 500 M was hampered and was unable to show much running in straight.
10 11 NOBLE CHAMPION (CC287) M W Leung TT Slowly away and soon raced at back 2-wide. Shifted out on straightening but was unable to show much impression when asked 250 M out.
11 1 HONOUR SUPREME (CB393) A Delpech -- Jumped with field and raced in midfield or better 2-wide. Ridden along at home bend to hold position. Found nothing when asked 250 M out and steadily dropped out inside final 200 M.
12 2 GOLCONDA (CA111) A Starke SR1 Tardy start from widest and soon raced in a forward position 2 to 3-wide with no cover. No extra in straight and dropped out steadily inside final 200 M.
