5 11 FLYING SPRINTER (CD021) H K Yim B Niggled along to be 3-wide in a forward position. Continued to be 3-wide and a length off the lead rounding the turn. Kept pace in the straight but unable to draw closer final stages.
6 8 HIGHLILLI (CD092) F Coetzee CP1/TT Jumped well, failed to match pace with leaders and dropped back to settle near midfield. Improved steadily in the straight but was held up in traffic over the last 150 M.
7 2 BRAVE KNIGHT (CC131) W M Lai TT Outpaced early stages and raced in a rearward position. Saved ground making home turn and was among last few to enter home straight. Made up some ground in the closing stages.

9 1 BULB KING (CD303) O Doleuze V Slowly away and was ridden along early stages. Kept within 3Ls of the leader in 2-wide position until straightening. Held up near 200 M and unable to pick up once in the clear.
10 9 GREAT ACHIEVEMENT (CD250) R Fradd TT Caught racing wide and without cover at midfield. Tired in the closing stages.
11 7 INSIDE MAIL (CD138) A Delpech -- Off slowly. On fence and no better than midfield until home turn. Kept on in the straight before checking at 200 M. Unable to recover thereafter.
