12 BEST GIFT (CD296) Y T Cheng TT Awkward to begin and lost ground, settled 10Ls from lead 4th last on rails, had easy run in middle stages, came 2 wide on turn and 3 wide in straight, got clear passing 250 M and gathered them in like a good horse.
3 TIBER (CD155) E Saint-Martin TT Fairly away but showed speed to hold forward position. 1 out 1 back 4th 4Ls off lead with cover, given charmed run throughout, peeled wider on entering straight, hit lead passing 200 M and just failed to hold off winner.
11 SAMBUCA (CD189) D Whyte -- Began with them, positioned well 6th 2 wide 6Ls from lead, enjoyed good trip to turn, came 4 off in straight and sprinted well just failing to match first two.

1 BULLISH LUCK (CC155) G Mosse B Broke fairly, taken back from widest gate, positioned last 2 wide 12Ls from lead, held up when attempting to improve on turn and in early straight, extended well over final 200 M when clear.
6 PERFECT PARTNER (CD163) F Coetzee TT Began well, crossed from wide gate to sit 2nd at leaders heels (good solid tempo), gave leader 2Ls thereafter, loomed up to take lead passing 300 M but quickly headed and battled thereafter.
14 FIGURES (CC307) C Munce SR1 Easily best to begin, showed speed to cross and lead with 2Ls advantage (solid tempo), continued to run along through- out, pressured at top of straight and gave best but early pace took its toll and failed to finish off.
13 GEM OF INDIA (CC008) W M Lai -- Away with them, positioned well 5th on fence 5Ls from front- runners, had soft run in middle section, asked to improve at top of stretch, didn't have 100% clear running but was one paced nevertheless.
8 THE DUKE (CB282) C Brown -- Jumped well, caught wide and restrained to worse than midfield, 3rd last 2 wide 11L from lead thereafter, tracked 3 wide entering straight but couldn't sprint to make up ground.
10 SATURN (CD154) R Fradd H Tardy to leave stalls, gathered good speed to hold spot behind leader 2Ls away, over-raced slightly in middle stages, failed to get clear running early in straight, couldn't match it inside last 200 M.
7 SPECIAL KING PRAWN (CD212) S Dye TT Awkward to begin, taken straight to rails, 4 back on rails in 8th position 7Ls off the lead throughout, had clear running from 400 M but made no impression.
5 BOWMAN'S CROSSING (CB138) B Prebble SR Away well, drifted back to settle 9th 2 wide 10Ls from front, made run 3 wide passing 500 M but offered little when asked and only hands and heels thereafter.
