7 SUPREME GAINS (CG057) D Whyte -- 5-wide no cover very early on, got in 3-wide with cover at 1000 M when 4Ls back in midfield, a little closer turning for home, quickened up very well to lead at 150 M, pulled right away, impressive.
3 CIRCULAR MACHINE (CG049) S Dye SR1 A little slowly away, mostly had the run of the race on fence 2Ls off pace in 4th or so until home turn, no chance with winner but did best of the rest for 2nd.
11 SPY KING (CE205) H W Lai CP Mostly 3-wide no cover about 2Ls off pace in 3rd or so through to final bend, loomed up with every chance upsides at 300 M, couldn't quicken further but did well to hang on for a place.
6 SKYVIEW BAR (CG024) C Brown -- A neck down in 2nd at 1200 M out 2-wide, in 2nd between 1L and 2Ls behind the pace from 800 M to home turn, had every chance but failed to kick sufficiently.
1 LUCKY DIAMOND (CE194) E Saint-Martin TT Mostly 4-wide without cover about 3Ls behind the lead in mid-division through to home straight, stayed on only fairly down the centre of the track.
12 ONE SHOT (CE212) O Doleuze B About 3Ls off pace when 3-wide with cover in midfield until the circle, under pressure when 2Ls down in 3rd at 300 M, no extra and held inside final 200 M when hanging under pressure.
14 BRIGHT AND GAY (CE048) C Munce B 4-back on fence towards rear about 6Ls off the pace at 1000 M, no better off on straightening, one-paced.
2 QUEST FOR LOVE (CE242) S Sanders B1 Dropped in midfield or slightly worse about 5Ls off speed and 2-wide down the back, same turning into homestretch when under pressure, never troubled leaders.
13 MASTER DREAMER (CE293) K S Yu -- Settled around midfield about 5Ls off the speed until home turn, always outpaced by principals.
4 UNIVERSAL PIONEER (CB293) C W Wong TT Soon led, about a neck in front at 1200 M, 2Ls clear at 800 M and 1L ahead turning for home, joined at around 250 M, faded markedly inside final 200 M.
5 RICH FOR ALL (CG023) B Prebble -- 2-wide and about 6Ls behind down backstretch, hard ridden to try and improve turning for home, didn't seem to find much but was not helped by being short of room, not fully tested.
9 GREAT FORTUNE (CE098) Y T Cheng B1 Slowest away, one from rear about 8Ls of speed at 1000 M, same margin behind and struggling on straightening, well beaten.
10 LIVERPOOLTHEGREAT (CG088) C K Tong -- 3-back the fence slightly worse than midfield about 5Ls off speed from 1000 M to home straight when under pressure, failed to quicken up, beaten over 300 M out.
8 CHEERFUL HAPPINESS (CE220) S K Sit B Always last, never better than 8Ls off the pace at any point.
