6 MY PRIDE (CG017) O Doleuze V Good speed from wide gate to lead on fence by 2Ls at 1000 M, a neck clear turning for home, half a length ahead at 200 M, kept on gamely to scrape in.
10 KAO AND MING (CD023) C Munce B One from rear and 2-wide about 5Ls off the pace until home turn, 4Ls down but short of room at 200 M in 10th, switched out and ran on very well late, just missed out.
7 RAINBOW EXPRESS (CE144) C Brown -- Well placed on fence 2Ls behind pace in 3rd or so until final bend, always a fraction outpaced.
8 THUNDER STORM (CA226) Y T Cheng B/H Better than midfield about 2Ls or so off the pace but mostly 3-wide no cover until home turn, kept on fairly well but never looked the winner.
5 HAPPY SUNDAY (CE169) G Mosse B- 3-back on fence about 3Ls off the speed through to home straight, kept on only fairly, short of room late but never likely to figure in quinella.
3 GOLDEN STRIDE (CA343) S Sanders SR-/B2 2-wide and 1L off the pace in 2nd at 700 M, a neck down in 2nd turning for home, all out to be half a length down in 2nd at 200 M, tired late.
4 JADE DANCER (CE170) R Fradd -- Keen early, 2-wide and worse than midfield between 3Ls and 4Ls behind leader until home turn, always held by principals.
2 GOLDEN WIN (CE062) D Whyte SR1 2-wide and between 2Ls and 3Ls off pace in midfield through to home turn, found no running room in the home straight and not properly tested, should have finished closer.
9 AMBITION (CC079) G Schofield B Bumped after an awkward break, in rear bunch about 4Ls off the speed through to final bend, didn't figure any further.
12 SURE FORTUNE (CC033) H W Lai B/TT Slowest away, about 6Ls or 7Ls last until home straight, didn't find much running room thereafter but never likely to figure anyway.
1 HIGHLAND DAWN (CC138) E Saint-Martin B Caught 4-wide without cover in midfield about 3Ls off the pace until the 600 M, gained some cover 3-wide on the circle, one-paced in the homestretch.
11 TRIUMPHANT GLORY (CB368) K S Yu B Awkward break, 4Ls behind in 8th or so at 1000 M, checked at the 600 M and 5Ls down in 11th turning for home, soon outpaced.
