9 SIKANDER (CG080) S Dye B Slow to begin, lacked speed early and settled 5 back on rails 6 to 7Ls away, travelled well and suited by good early speed, on bit to turn, held up at 300 M but got clear at 200 M and showed good turn of foot to score well.
11 SYLLABUS (CD388) W C Marwing B/TT Awkward to begin, ridden along early to settle 3 back on fence 3Ls away, enjoyed dream run in mid-section, behind leader 1L away on turn, pushed into clear at 300 M and kept on strongly until overhauled late.
1 VERY FIT (CE071) F Coetzee TT Began well, pushed in early stages and used up to finally cross after 400 M, backed off speed in mid-section, held 1L advantage turning for home, fought strongly but unable to go with them 100 M. Solid effort.
10 SOPRANO (CE177) H W Lai B/XB Away fairly, restrained when unable to get in early, settled just off midfield 2 wide 6Ls away, used little mid-race, came 3 wide with cover from 700 M, eased 4 wide on turn and finished race off strongly doing best work late.
4 FUJI SUNRISE (CD100) R Fradd -- Broke evenly, drifted back to rear as usual, raced 2 wide 3rd from tail 7 to 8Ls away from leaders, travelled comfortably throughout, made run 4 and 5 wide in straight making up good late ground to be closest at finish.
2 LIBERAL'S CHOICE (CC345) D Whyte B Amongst the first to begin, pressed forward to challenge for lead, eventually handed up to race behind leader (good speed) raced at leaders' girth from 800 M, 1L away on turning, early effort took toll and weakened out late.
8 PALETTE NATURAL (CB284) K T Yeung B Bumped early, couldn't muster speed early, settled down in midfield position 4 back on rails 5Ls from pace, used no petrol in run, followed paint in stretch, no clear run until 250 M but lacked dash to capitalise when clear.
13 DAY OR NIGHT (CE137) Y T Cheng -- Broke only fairly, lacked early speed and drifted back to be 2nd last on rails 9Ls from frontrunners, enjoyed easy run throughout, made run between runners in straight and finished race off evenly. (Blood in trachea.)
5 INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS (CC317) E Saint-Martin B Bumped early, pressed forward but unable to get in, raced 3 wide midfield with cover 5Ls away throughout, tracked into race, nicely 3 wide on turn, inconvenienced in straight but unable to go up a gear when clear.
7 LEILATI (CE089) G Schofield B/TT Jumped with them, pressed forward to take close order, trapped 3 wide without cover from awkward alley, always working to be 1L away on turn, wide run took its toll and weakened out in straight.
3 HEALTHY WEALTHY (CC067) M W Leung -- Best to begin, settled well just behind speed, raced amongst runners in 2 wide spot 4Ls away, did little in middle stages, shuffled back to near last on turn, only plugged to line to be well beaten.
12 ROOSEVELT (CD115) C K Tong V Fast into stride, hard ridden to challenge for lead early, eased off to take up 1 out 1 back spot 2 to 3Ls away, enjoyed good run throughout, pushed along entering straight, weakened out to be well beaten (used up early).
PU 6 COSMO SUCCESS (CC250) D Dunn -- Average to begin, lacked early speed and settled in last spot 2 wide 9 to 10Ls away, angled out on turn, broke down entering straight and pulled up.
