8 SUPREME CLASS (CG089) B Prebble CP/TT Jumped only fairly, soon gathered speed to settle amongst first few, raced 1L away behind leader with run of race to turn, angled clear into straight and loomed up easily, went on to score in good fashion easing off a little late.
4 GALLANT LION (CG243) E Saint-Martin -- Began reasonably, allowed to slot in nicely behind speed, raced in 2 wide spot 4Ls away, enjoyed nice run with cover to turn, in traffic and not clear until 250 M, motored home late making up good ground.
1 GOOD PROFIT (CD389) G Mosse -- Jumped evenly, lacked early speed as usual and settled 6Ls away, caught 3 and 4 wide without cover in mid-section, circled them from 700 M, still well back on turn, stuck to task well making good ground to snatch 3rd (lost plate).
9 SIR ERNESTO (CG051) D Whyte SR Only standard to break, soon gathered momentum to take up running after 400 M, kept rolling along on bit at even clip, challenged on turning, couldn't go with winner at 250 M but fought solidly to make the frame (in worst part of track).
7 GOODY (CD239) A Delpech -- Slowly into stride, allowed to drift back to near tail, raced 2 wide 8Ls from pace, well back to turn, swung 5 wide into straight, closed race off nicely last 200 M making good ground without threatening winner.
6 FIVE GRAINS (CB280) F Coetzee -- Lacked speed from gates, positioned up last on rails 9Ls away, lobbed along at tail throughout, tracked well on turn and swung 6 wide into straight, closed race off fairly doing best work late.
12 RICH DRAGON (CG079) C K Tong B- Average to begin, settled just worse than midfield, raced 2 wide 6Ls away throughout, travelled well in traffic behind them on turning, steadied when closing at 300 M, finished evenly thereafter.
2 AMPLE GAINS (CE021) O Doleuze B Began with rest, drifted back to midfield, caught 3 wide from awkward alley, had cover and travelled fairly 5Ls away in mid-section, in traffic early in straight but only kept on at same clip when clear.
10 CALIFORNIA BISHOP (CD351) K L Chui TT Fastest to leave gates, slotted into 1 out 1 back spot when unable to cross to lead, travelled well in mid-section, battling to go up a notch on turning, gradually faded out of it in straight.
11 PACKING ANGEL (CB223) H W Lai B Standard to begin, lacked early toe and settled in rearward division 7Ls of pace, pushed on 3 wide with cover on turn, didn't have a lot of clear running but closed race off only modestly.
14 LUCKY CHAMPION (CD178) C W Wong -- Broke with line, settled down in midfield position on rails, raced 5 to 6Ls away throughout, not asked to turn, began to struggle when sprint went on, only held ground on inside which was not place to be.
13 GUNG HO (CE020) M Nunes B Showed good speed from gates, took up role outside leader applying pressure, overraced in mid-section, still challenging on turning for home, couldn't match them from 250 M and weakened noticeably late.
5 INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS (CC317) Y T Cheng -- Reasonable break, positioned in midfield when unable to get in, raced 3 wide 4 lengths away without cover, always working to turn, kept giving to 300 M but workload told and gave ground to be well beaten.
3 WINNING DRAGON (CB018) R Fradd -- Away well, pushed up to hold forward spot, raced behind speed 3Ls away on rails, enjoyed nice run to turn, gained split in straight but unable to go on with it, fitness gave out after thereafter long spell.
