10 GOOD BA BA (CE201) A Delpech SR/TT Standard beginning, drifted back to near last, raced 3 wide with cover 5 to 6Ls from speed (average pace) tracked nicely on turn, 3Ls down into straight, came with well timed run to hit lead at 200 M and win with some authority.
5 CHEEKY (CA266) D Nikolic V Jumped fairly, lacked speed as usual, settled worse than midfield 5Ls away on rails, not asked in middle stages, well back in traffic on turn, unable to find a way out until 250 M, closed race off strongly when clear to snatch 2nd.
1 HAIL THE STORM (CE125) C K Tong B Began with them, unable to show enough speed to slot across, raced 3 wide 2Ls away without cover, allowed to slide forward to be 1L away on turn, hit front at 250 M and was overhauled late. Solid effort after tough run.
3 NILOMETER (CD052) C W Wong CP/TT Fast into stride, crossed to rails first, raced behind leader throughout, had nice run to turn, angled out into clear at 400 M, went with them but just lacked turn of foot to keep up, did well to hold on and make the frame.
2 WEALTHY (CD164) E Saint-Martin SR Average start, positioned in midfield, had run of race in 1 out 1 back position 3Ls away, improved between horses to be 2Ls down on turn, kept on evenly in traffic for most of straight, closed off fairly without threatening winner.
9 LIBERAL'S CHOICE (CC345) O Doleuze -- Fast into stride, used up some petrol to cross to front, bowled along at even speed 1L clear in front, still held advantage when increasing the tempo into straight, began to feel the pinch at 300 M and weakened out late.
6 DANEHILL EXPRESS (CG245) D Whyte -- Average break, had enough speed to be prominent early, raced first outside the leader 1L away, raced on bridle between horses to turn, couldn't muster when sprint went on, only held ground in straight. (Reported abnormal breathing.)
4 AGILITY (CC361) N Ryan -- Slowly into stride, drifted back to tail 6Ls away on rail, lobbed along at rear throughout, tracked 2 wide on turn, still last on turning in traffic, gained run at 300 M but lacked turn of foot to factor and was one paced to line.
8 SILVER SUN (CE126) W M Lai -- Jumped with them, restrained to rear, overraced 3 and 4 wide 5Ls off pace in middle stages, allowed to slide forward 5 wide without cover on bend, hard ridden and workload began to take toll at 300 M, made no headway last furlong.
7 DR WELL (CD165) R Fradd -- No speed early, urged along to hold spot 3 back on rails, had easy time 2 to 3Ls away in mid-section, niggled along on turning for home, unable to dash and gradually lost touch in straight to be well beaten.
