8 GREEN TREASURE (CD225) S Dye XB/TT Bounced in air, lacked early toe, settled in midfield on rails 4 to 5Ls from pace, had easy time in mid-section with speed on, followed rails into straight, dream run presented at 200 M, dashed through to score nice win.
5 THE DUKE (CB282) O Doleuze -- Began with them, pushed up to hold spot 3 back on fence 4Ls from leader, enjoyed nice trip not working hard to turn, angled out on turning in, sprinted hard to hit lead at 200 M, caught last 100 M.
6 BOWMAN'S CROSSING (CB138) G Mosse SR Slow into stride, taken back from wide alley to assume usual spot near tail, raced on rails 8Ls away, spent nothing to turn, well back in traffic early in straight, weaved between horses and dashed hard to fight out finish. Solid effort.
14 SATURN (CD154) H W Lai -- Began well, showed plenty of speed to assume lead, kept them rolling at solid clip 2Ls clear in middle stages, dashed for home with same advantage, held them off to 200 M but ran out of puff late. Solid effort after doing work.
2 VIVA PATACA (CG096) E Saint-Martin -- Standard to begin, restrained to back (fighting rider) raced 2 to 3 wide 7 to 8Ls away, travelled well to turn, still well back and held up turning in, in traffic to 200 M, closed solidly when clear. (See Racing Incidents.)
12 HAIL THE STORM (CE125) W M Lai B Began with rest, allowed to roll forward, couldn't slot in and posted 3 wide without cover 5Ls away in mid-section, had cover from midpoint pushed along on turning, finished race off steadily after hard run to be closest at finish.
13 HAPPEE OWNER (CE230) M W Leung TT Jumped with line, showed dash to hold forward position 2 wide first without cover 4Ls away, faced breeze throughout, still 3Ls down turning in, couldn't find another gear when asked and battled steadily to line.
9 HIGH INTELLIGENT (CD317) A Delpech B Began reasonably, mustered speed to hold leaders back, raced 2Ls away trailing leader at good clip throughout, niggled along on turn, came to outside and tried hard but lacked dash to be a factor last 200 M. Better effort.
3 JOYFUL WINNER (CE045) F Coetzee -- Began awkwardly, re-gathered to settle worse than midfield, raced on rails 6Ls away, used little to turn, in traffic entering straight, disappointed for a run at 350 M, never really saw daylight until race was over.
7 DAVE'S BEST (CC060) D Whyte -- Slow to begin, urged along to hold midfield position, raced 2 wide 5Ls away, appreciated pace in front, tracked nicely to turn, hit plenty of dead ends in straight, lost momentum and never really got a crack at them.
4 ART TRADER (CE131) R Fradd TT Broke with them, soon drifted back to worse than midfield, raced 2 wide 6Ls away, came 3 wide on circle, made run 4 wide on turn, lacked usual finishing burst and didn't make any real impression to line.
10 TIBER (CD155) M Nunes TT Fastest into stride, unable to slot in early, snagged back to midfield, raced 4 wide without cover, 5Ls away in mid-section, forced to roll forward to turn, under pressure into straight and weakened late after hard run.
1 BULLISH LUCK (CC155) C K Tong B Began evenly, restrained to assume usual role at tail, raced on rails at rear 8 to 9Ls away, allowed to follow field to turn, swung 4 and 5 wide into straight, made no real impression and lacked fitness to figure.
