4 GOODY (CD239) O Doleuze -- Began with rest, ridden along to hold spot 3Ls back on rails closer than usual, enjoyed easy trip in mid-section, tracked well to turn, stuck to rails and came with strong run to hit lead at 100 M and score overdue win.
2 GOOD NATURE (CE153) S Dye -- Awkward to begin and was hampered shortly after taken back to rear, raced 2-wide 6Ls from pace, lobbed along at tail throughout, still well back on bend, made run between horses and closed off hard making many lengths late.
1 SOUNDS BEST (CE255) E Saint-Martin TT Standard to begin, assumed position worse than midfield on rails 4-5Ls from leaders, not asked in mid-section, trailed eventual winner on bend, in traffic turning in and closed well until checked badly at 100 M. Unlucky.
3 RUM SHOT (CE206) Y T Cheng B Fast into stride, pushed along to assume expected role as front runner, dictated terms to mid-point, pressured and upped tempo to turn, kicked strongly 2Ls clear to 100 M but was overhauled late.
11 PRETTY TRIO (CB343) K T Yeung SR Broke with them, lacked speed and drifted back to midfield, raced 2-wide 4Ls from front runners, no work to do to bend, in traffic turning in, closed race off steadily towards inside to be closest on line.
12 SUNBELL (CB391) C K Tong CP Average to begin, rushed along to take closer order, raced closer than usual in 1 out 1 back slot, shuffled back to be 3Ls down on bend, switched out in straight and closed steadily without threatening.
8 FIVE GRAINS (CB280) A Delpech -- Tardy to begin, took up usual spot near rear, raced on rails 6-7Ls, little required in middle stages, well back with field to beat on bend, made run between runners, didn't see a lot of daylight but closed only fairly regardless.
9 WEALTHY TREASURE (CC270) R Fradd -- First to hit ground, pressed on to secure a position behind leader, enjoyed run of race thereafter, urged along on circle, run presented on turning but only laboured at same pace in run to line.
10 GUNG HO (CE020) M Nunes B Began well, pressed forward to take up spot outside leader, had cover from mid-point but tended to overrace a touch, eased 3-wide on bend, run ended at 200 M and only battled to line. (Blood in trachea.)
6 FIFTY FIFTY (CD131) G Mosse -- Standard to leave gates, restrained early to slot in worse than midfield raced 2 to 3-wide 5Ls away with cover, always working wide throughout, kept improving and came 4-wide into straight, one-paced to line.
5 LIBERAL'S CHOICE (CC345) D Nikolic -- Fair beginning, used up a bit to press forward, eventually crossed to race outside leaders girth at mid-point, continued to apply pressure thereafter, struggling on bend, workload took toll and weakened out late.
7 GREAT ACHIEVEMENT (CD250) D Whyte TT Jumped with line, pressed on from wide gate but unable to slot in, posted 3-wide without cover 3Ls away, always working wide to bend, struggling turning in and weakened out after hard run.
