9 PACIFIC ALLIANCE (CC230) S Dye B/H/TT Settled 6Ls off pace in 9th on fence at 1000 M, edged a little closer off final bend, driven along to lead 200 M out, ran on well for comfortable win.
1 CONNOISSEUR'S LOVE (CD234) C W Wong B Always well placed, 2-wide and 2Ls back in 3rd at halfway, 1L down in 3rd at top of homestretch and led at 300 M, soon headed by winner and did just enough to hang onto 2nd.
10 GRABBIT (CG144) E Saint-Martin B/TT- Nudged along at halfway 3-back on fence when 4Ls down in mid-division, a little closer taking home turn, stayed on fairly well for a place.
4 GREEN IN BLUE (CD117) D Nikolic CP 6Ls back in 10th when 2-wide at 1000 M, driven along and not making much impression off home turn, battled on at same pace for a remote 4th.
2 CHINSOLA (CD328) M Odendaal B 8Ls down in 11th at 1000 M, 6Ls back in same position when 4-wide turning for home, minor late headway past some tired rivals.
14 ONE EYE JACK (CD393) H W Lai B Disputed early speed out wide, 2-wide and still right there from 800 M to home turn when hard ridden to lie up, faded out gradually.
8 EVER KING (CE147) G Mosse V/TT Had the box-seat run on fence 2Ls off speed in 3rd from 1200 M to home straight entrance, petered out very tamely given his soft passage.
7 SUNNY RIVIERA (CC240) F Coetzee SR-/TT- Slowly away, one from rear about 10Ls off pace at 1200 M, 8Ls behind at home turn, never looked like finishing better than midfield.
5 ALEXANDR THE GREAT (CG231) D Whyte -- 2-wide and 4Ls back in midfield at 1200 M, niggled along on the circle but slipped back 5Ls off pace taking home turn, never dangerous thereafter.
3 FLYING WIN (CG002) B Prebble -- 10Ls behind speed in rear bunch through first half, not much closer and struggling at 600 M, never on terms. (Lame.)
13 X-SPEED (CC341) Y T Cheng B Led early on fence, shared the lead going a good clip from 1200 M to home turn, headed 300 M out and dropped out rapidly.
6 TRAVEL LEADER (CD226) A Delpech -- A little keen early on when 3Ls back in 6th, struggling to lie up at top of homestretch and soon beaten.
11 SPECIFIC SORCEROR (CA321) M Nunes B Always in rear, 3-wide with cover early on at least 10Ls off pace, never got involved.
12 POSA (CE337) K L Chui SR/H Awkward break, always 3-wide no cover, 3Ls off speed in 6th at 1200 M, off the bridle and losing ground taking home turn, weakened right out.
