7 SOCRATES (CD336) R Fradd B/TT Amongst first few to jump, showed enough to hold prominent position 1 out 1 back, enjoyed ideal trip spending nothing in run, made 3-wide run on bend, came with dash down centre to claim them at 100 M for solid win.
5 CALIFORNIA BISHOP (CD351) K L Chui TT First to hit ground, held early lead before taking trail leaving straight, had run of race behind leader with average speed on, tracked nicely on turning, gained dream split and hit lead but no match for winner late.
11 MULTI MILLIONS (CD207) G Mosse SR Well enough to begin, slotted in nicely to running line, 4Ls away leaving straight, had easy time in mid-section, eased out making run on bend, closed solidly down middle to be closest on line.
10 DASH AHEAD (CD199) H W Lai SR Standard break, assumed usual role towards rear, raced on rails 7Ls off speed throughout, ridden along passing Rock, well back on turning in, weaved a passage between horses in straight closing hard to make frame.
3 LIBERAL'S CHOICE (CC345) E Saint-Martin -- Began nicely, pressed on as usual to take up forward spot raced outside of leader throughout, had good run with even speed, made a challenge on turning in and stayed on until 150 M before run ended late.
8 SOPRANO (CE177) D Whyte B/TT Average break, drifted back as usual to race near rear, raced 2-wide 6-7Ls away, used little in the run, still well back on bend closed race of between runners making plenty of ground without threatening. (Steadied late.)
6 ELECTRONICS SPUR (CE285) G Boss TT Began with rest, slotted in to midfield role, raced 2-wide 5-6Ls from leaders, relaxed well and had easy time to bend, made run 3 and 4-wide and briefly threatened before run ended at 150 M.
9 BEST POWER (CG006) S K Sit -- Shade tardy to begin, taken in behind to hold spot on rails 4Ls off front runners, not asked in mid-section. Stuck to rails saving ground turning in, kept to inside but only closed off at same speed.
2 RUM SHOT (CE206) Y T Cheng B Began well, rolled forward to assume expected role as front runner, dictated terms in front at even clip, had 1L advantage on turning in, stuck on until 150 M but folded late when gas ran out.
1 GREENESSY (CE001) O Doleuze CP Standard break, raced in rearward division on rails 5-6Ls back, had easy time throughout, saved ground on turning in, improved steadily along inside in straight before running out of room at 150 M. Not tested thereafter.
4 FIVE GRAINS (CB280) F Coetzee -- Poor to jump as usual, slotted in on rails in last place, lobbed along 8Ls from leaders, angled 2-wide passing Rock, well back turning in, closed evenly but gave away too much start.
12 LUCKY CHAMPION (CD178) M Nunes -- Began with them, soon drifted back looking to slot in, raced 3-wide without cover when unable to get into running line, always working to bend, spent force turning in and weakened out late.
