9 PRESENT TREASURE (CC077) A Starke TT Amongst first to begin, pressed on very wide early to take control at 1200 M, dictated terms in front at steady pace held 1L advantage on bend, kicked strongly turning into straight, fought off challengers to score a narrow victory.
1 PACKING ANGEL (CB223) D Whyte B-/P2 Moderate break, drifted back to assume usual role in rearward division, raced 2 wide 5 to 6Ls back, still back between horses on bend, into clear turning in and made plenty of ground down middle to just miss.
4 WADADELIGHT (CC340) A Delpech B Fair to leave gates and steadied shortly after, positioned 2 wide in midfield 4 to 5Ls from lead, travelled nicely behind horses on bend, held up to 200 M, closed hard when in clear to just go down in 3 way finish.
3 VICTORY TREASURE (CE031) C K Tong B1/TT Average jump, caught 4 wide early and pressed on to take close order, used plenty to be outside leader at midpoint, still there turning in, showed plenty of fight to keep on and made frame given workload.
6 KING HESPERUS (CE151) M Nunes B/TT Began with rest, showed enough to take up role without cover, 1 out 1 back at midpoint 2Ls back, had run of race thereafter, angled into clear turning in, didn't show much turn of foot but kept grinding away to be close on line.
13 DARE TO WIN (CG099) H K Yim SB Standard beginning and failed to muster speed early, settled just off midfield on rails 5 to 6Ls from the leaders, in traffic at 300 M, didn't have much room but closed off steadily when clear.
8 SMACKO (CG132) S Dye TT1 Jumped well enough, soon faded back to rear in search of cover, raced 3 wide with trail at rear 7Ls off pace, speed didn't suit and still well back on bend, came to outside and finished off nicely giving too great a start.
12 CALIFORNIA HEART (CE078) K L Chui B/TT Amongst first few to begin, slotted in to trail on rails 3 to 4Ls off lead, used little in run, steadied at 600 M, held up in behind horses at 300 M, switched back to inside and closed off fairly without threatening.
10 SMART HORSE (BV096) G Mosse -- Began with them, pressed on but unable to slot in to running line, raced 3 wide in midfield 5Ls away with cover, made wide run turning in, made steady ground down middle without looking likely.
7 ROYAL FALCON (CE091) B Prebble B/TT Jumped nicely, caught wide on first turn, unable to slot in and posted 3 wide without cover 4 to 5Ls away, always working to bend, under pressure turning in, workload took toll and couldn't go on with it late.
11 FORTUNE BOY (CC378) O Doleuze B2 Even break, ridden along to hold forward spot, raced 2 wide 4Ls back, didn't settle well and over raced in mid-section, made 3 wide run on circle, threatened at 300 M but faded out late.
5 GALLANT KNIGHT (CC189) K T Yeung V First to hit ground, crossed to rails easily and took trail behind leader, had easy time thereafter with moderate speed on, still close enough turning in, didn't find when asked and weakened out from 250 M.
2 EASY GAME (CC346) D Nikolic P2 Tardy to begin, assumed usual role at tail, raced 8Ls off lead on rails, angled 2 wide on bend, still well back turning in, didn't show usual finishing burst and simply plugged away in straight.
14 WIN FOR ALL (CD002) M Odendaal -- Fair to leave gates and taken in behind from a wide alley, took up spot on rails 7Ls off pace, not asked in run, had field to beat turning in, couldn't find extra gear in run home and battled to line.
