10 HAPPY MASTER (CE050) G Mosse SR Clipped heels and pecked at 900 M in last place, improved to 4Ls down in 10th at home turn, edged left into clear and stayed on well to lead 50 M out and just prevail, game win.
6 TREMENDOUS PLUS (CG275) D Nikolic -- Slowly away, raced greenly 5Ls off pace in midfield at halfway, over 3Ls down at home turn and stuck on well in the straight, only just shaded by the winner, promising debut.
12 BRAVE COMMANDER (CC322) S K Sit TT With cover in rear bunch about 6Ls off speed at halfway, rather wide and with 5Ls to make up turning for home but stayed on quite well to nick a place on the line.
1 CARE FREE PRINCE (CD333) C K Tong B Caught 4-wide no cover and 1L off pace down the back, 3-wide no cover on circle, had every chance in the straight but carried head awkwardly and laid in, just missed a place.
5 GOLDEN WIN (CE062) O Doleuze CP1 Raced 2 and 3-wide with cover until the home straight, 3Ls off pace in 6th at 800 M and 2Ls down in 4th at top of stretch, led over 200 M out but no extra when grabbed by winner at 50 M.
3 WONDERFUL BLESSING (CE198) B Prebble TT Box-run in 3rd early and 3-back on fence 4Ls off pace in 7th at 800 M, didn't find much daylight from top of stretch to 100 M out but unclear as to how much he would have found.
9 VITAL PATROL (CC335) C Soumillon -- 7Ls last at 1000 M with cover, unbalanced and blundered turning for home when 6Ls off speed, made up some nice late ground, nearest at finish.
13 TIRAMISU (CB386) M Nunes V/TT 2-wide and 2Ls down in 5th at 900 M, still well there turning for home but failed to find an extra gear and held through final 200 M.
11 AMAZING CHOICE (CG163) K L Chui B 4-back on fence about 5Ls off pace and worse than midfield until halfway, 3Ls down in midfield at home turn and all out when 2Ls down at 200 M, tired and hung right final 100 M.
14 NOT QUITE PERFECT (CG254) S Dye B1/TT Caught wide without cover early so pressed on to flank leader out 2-wide at 900 M, kept on to lead briefly at 300 M but headed at 200 M and weakened late.
4 FRONTIER (CH023) M W Leung -- Disputed early speed on fence before opting to take a trail in box-seat 2Ls off pace from 1000 M to home straight when hard ridden, found nothing off the bit.
8 UNIVERSAL PIONEER (CB293) C W Wong TT Mustered enough speed to finally get to the fence and lead by 1L at 900 M, same margin clear at home straight entrance, faded out once headed at the 300 M.
7 SPICY HOT (CH064) M Odendaal -- About 6Ls off pace in rear early, left 4-wide no cover from the 900 M and shoved out 5-wide (widest of all) when 6Ls back in 12th, made no impression.
2 RIVER TANGO (CG186) D Whyte -- Took some time to lead, 5Ls off pace in 9th or so when steadied at 1100 M, further back and wobbled awkwardly turning for home, soon left behind.
