6 TOWERING FEELING (CG262) D Whyte -- Began with rest, bustled along to take up position just behind the speed, had a charmed run 3Ls back in 2 wide line, tracked nicely on bend, into clear at 300 M, went to them quickly and asserted authority winning with ease in finish.
7 ENCHANTED (CE065) A Delpech SR Jumped fairly, ridden up to hold spot close to pace, raced 2 to 3Ls back on rails, had easy time in mid-section, eased 2 wide on turning, gap appeared at 300 M and came with promising run but found winner too good late.
8 CALIFORNIA HEART (CE078) K L Chui B/TT Well enough to begin, didn't have pace to match them early, assumed a midfield role 4 to 5Ls back on rails, not asked in mid-section, held up in traffic turning in, in clear from 250 M and stuck to task well to take 3rd.
1 ESPERANZA (CG159) D Nikolic -- Reasonable break, pushed on but ended up in midfield 3 wide from an awkward draw, 3 wide 4Ls back with cover throughout, eased 4 wide on bend, produced a one-paced effort in the straight to finish a distant 4th.
3 MAINLAND SHUTTLE (CG315) G Mosse -- Moderate to begin, settled 3 wide behind midfield 6Ls off pace, tracked wide on bend to get closer, well back under pressure on turning, shifted into clear at 250 M, did best work late to be nearest at the finish.
4 TERRAFERMA (CG016) H W Lai B/TT First to hit ground, pressed on and worked very hard to cross to lead, couldn't get to rails and shaded inside horse throughout, 1L clear on turning and held advantage to 250 M but couldn't fight on when tackled after hard run.
5 BRAVE KNIGHT (CC131) C W Wong -- Average beginning, pushed along to hold spot behind midfield, raced 6Ls back on rails, had soft run and saved ground on bend, made run between horses and closed off at same pace making a little ground without looking likely.
13 BENEFICIAL (CG239) M Nunes TT Slow to leave boxes, soon towards rear, hard ridden to take a closer position, just behind midfield 2 wide 5Ls back to bend, under pressure on turning, made run between horses but made little impact just battling to line.
12 LUCKY DANSKE (CD364) Y T Cheng TT Began awkwardly and lost ground, settled in midfield but posted 4 wide without cover 5Ls away, always working hard covering ground on circle, struggling turning in and only plodded to line.
9 FRIENDSHIP (CE066) S Dye -- Amongst first few to break, in early battle for lead, forced to race 3 wide without cover 2Ls back when unable to get in, did plenty of work to bend, couldn't sustain effort turning in and gradually lost touch in run home.
10 PICTURE PERFECT (CD297) A Starke -- Jumped nicely, pressed on to slot in to 1 out 1 back role 1 to 2Ls back, had ideal run into race, eased out on turning and threatened briefly at 300 M but gave in quickly thereafter and plodded to line.
11 GENERAL KINGY (CB039) S K Sit B Began well, hard ridden to take up a position, raced up challenging for lead on inside in a more forward role, shaded throughout but held inside 1L down on bend, early effort told when soon beaten and weakened out badly.
2 CAPITALAND (CE152) H K Yim XB Began awkwardly and lost ground, soon at rear, raced detached 8Ls from leaders, struggling on bend and lost further ground, dropped right out of it in the straight to be beaten a long way.
