8 KIWI DASH (CC281) B Prebble -- Began with them, didn't have early pace but settled closer than usual in midfield 3 to 4Ls back, always travelling nicely on rails, behind horses on turning and didn't get out to 200 M, flew late to get up on line.
9 SOUND OF SILENCE (CD136) C W Wong -- Amongst first few to break and had speed to lead them, dictated terms at a reasonable clip, worried by outside horse on bend but held a 1/2L on turning, fought strongly when headed and only just went down despite hanging.
4 SOHNA (CG183) C Soumillon CP Well enough away, pressed on to take closer order, posted 3 wide without cover 2Ls back throughout, travelled comfortably despite covering extra ground, loomed up and hit front at 200 M but run just ended late.
7 JUSTINIAN (CB324) K L Chui -- Fastest to leave gates, worked early to cross to leaders girth in back straight, applied pressure to leader throughout setting reasonable speed, still in mix on turning in and showed good fight to stick with them and made frame.
5 TATTENHALL DELIGHT (CG068) H K Yim -- Ordinary getaway, mustered to hold leaders back but proved difficult to settle in mid-section, had run of race to turn, in traffic on turning but couldn't find an extra gear when clear from 250 M, just holding ground to line.
6 TIRAMISU (CB386) M Nunes V/TT Began nicely, had enough speed to hold a prominent spot before taking a trail 1 out 1 back 2Ls away, had run of race in mid-section, urged along on turning but left flat footed when they sprinted and just battled to the line.
3 MASTER ABLE (CD349) D Whyte B Awkwardly away and restrained soon after, settled rear tail in running line 6Ls away throughout, not overly taxed to do a lot, gave big start when coming 3 wide on bend, steadily made ground but never really threatened.
10 FANTASTIC WIN (CB188) W M Lai B Moderate beginning, lacked speed from outset, raced behind midfield in running line 5Ls off pace, had job to do on bend, under pressure on turning and failed to respond just struggling away in straight.
1 VINCERE (CE324) A Starke B Ordinary getaway, soon towards rear as usual, raced on rails 6Ls away, never really looked comfortable on surface, pushed along on bend, held up turning in but created little impression in straight just plugging away.
2 WIN FOR ALL (CD002) D Nikolic B2 Standard break, settled down next to last on rails 6 to 7Ls away, lobbed along at rear throughout, still had field to beat on turning in, lacked dash in straight and battled to line. (Blood in trachea.)
