4 5 ABLE KNIGHT (CE079) D Whyte H/TT Eased to sit worse than midfield 2 wide, 4.5Ls off the leader, raced keenly, not suited by the slow tempo, dashed well 250 M but never threatened.
5 8 CENTENNIAL SMILE (CG165) F Coetzee B Pushed early but failed to muster speed at the back, 6.5Ls off the leader 2 wide, harmed by the slow pace, lacked room 300 M, dashed well when clear and closed the race off nicely.

7 6 HAPPY HEROES (CD261) M W Leung -- Eased back, 5.5Ls off the leader, harmed by the slow pace, trapped 3 wide throughout and covered too much ground at bends, closed the race off strongly 200 M despite all negative racing situations.
8 1 ELEPHANT DANCE (CA391) C K Tong B Pushed forward to sit outside the leader 2 wide throughout, benefited by the slow tempo, ran on until 200 M but faded when run ended.
9 3 SUNNY RIVIERA (CC240) K T Yeung B/TT Eased to the rear and crossed the rails, 6.5Ls behind the leader, harmed by the slow pace, swept forward 3 wide at home bend to obtain clear running, however remained flat until 100 M, produced little dash.
10 10 RIGHT CHOICE (CE102) M Nunes -- Eased back to cross the rails and sit just behind midfield, 4.5Ls off the leader, helped by the rails run but not suited by the slow pace, no turn of foot in final stages.
11 9 GRABBIT (CG144) W M Lai B Worse than midfield, trapped 3 wide throughout and covered too much ground, harmed by the slow pace, no progress in straight.
12 12 SOUND OF SILENCE (CD136) C W Wong -- Pushed to take the rail and led at slow tempo, hung on until 250 M weakened.
