2 12 SILVER MARK (CE226) S K Sit V/TT Settled well back. Widest runner in last turning in. Made up good ground down centre of straight to be nearest at finish. (See Racing Incidents.)
3 11 FLORAL NIRVANA (CH232) B Prebble TT Shared 5th 2-wide within 3Ls of pace. Commenced move turning in and shifted wider. Responded well to lead passing 200 M despite hung in away from whip on two occasions. Headed passing 100 M and pipped for 2nd late.
4 5 EQUATOR KID (CC134) D Whyte -- Began fairly settling behind midfield. Switched out for a run turning for home but could only produce moderate progress without threatening.
5 7 NASA PEARL (CC068) O Doleuze -- Settled on rails towards rear. Switched off rails to challenge making home turn and only produced moderate progress under pressure in the run home.
6 10 MAVERICK (CE199) W M Lai TT Prominent 3-wide in 4th. Effort rounding home bend and led into straight only to be swamped inside final 200 M.
7 9 BEST POWER (CG006) G Mosse -- Settled on rails in midfield. Similar turning in before switching off rails after straightening. Fought on under pressure but could only produce modest headway between runners.
8 3 KINGSGATE GLORY (CH020) K Shea V/TT Well there. Took up running rounding stables bend briefly before settling one-out-one-back approaching back straight. In similar position in 4th turning in when carried slightly wider. Quickened to hold some chance 200 M out. Soon faded.
9 1 SAFETY FIRST (CG161) C K Tong B/TT Broke well to lead and soon crossed to rails. Ceded advantage rounding stables bend and settled for one back 2nd on rails far side. Badly baulked early in straight and checked passing 200 M. One paced closing stages.
10 2 MEDICO (CH075) D Beadman -- Raced 2-wide in midfield. Similar turning in but ran home one-paced under pressure.
11 6 LUCKY MONEY (CE159) M W Leung -- Began well, settling one back in 3rd on rails. Shuffled back to about 3Ls off the pace on rails far side. Did not find much room on inner early in straight. Made no impression closing stages.
12 8 INDUSTRIAL EXPRESS (CH103) Z Purton -- Wide in midfield early stages. Moved up to join leaders coming out of home straight and led from stables bend to 350 M. Weakened badly after straightening.
