5 10 TOWKAY FLYER (CJ036) G Mosse -- Showed natural pace to be up sharing lead off outside fence, kept pace genuine throughout, right there to 150 M before condition gave out and was passed late.
6 1 TREASURE COLT (CE308) K Shea SR-/B1/TT Slow into stride, lost further ground when checked, rearward 4Ls back, in traffic when improving at 600 M and checked at 400 M, continued to make good headway before striking more trouble inside last 50 M.
7 14 GENERAL SPEEDEE (CG193) S K Sit TT Began well enough, not far away early but ended up 3Ls back by midpoint racing in centre of course, tried hard but lacked pick up over the concluding stages.

9 4 SOLDIER ON (CD230) B Prebble CP Standard jump, raced 3Ls back towards outside rail, niggled along at midpoint, lacked extra dash last furlong, battled away in run to line.
10 5 TOP STITCH (CE273) C K Tong TT Showed customary pace, shared lead between middle and outside rail, kept speed genuine throughout there to 300 M but capitulated quickly which is now becoming a common scenario in these events.
11 8 LUCKY QUALITY (CH134) F Coetzee -- Plenty of natural pace, up sharing lead towards stand side, niggled from 400 M, found little when asked and fitness gave out swiftly, checked at 200 M when weakening.
