4 FELLOWSHIP (CG292) D Whyte TT Away with them, restrained to mid-division towards the rear, eventually settled in a 2-wide position 5Ls back, travelled comfortably on the turn, came with strong sprint and had the race won at 100 M.
6 HAWKES BAY (CG064) B Prebble XB Slow to begin, soon advanced forward to take a spot on the rails 3Ls behind leader, well covered rounding the bend, eased out for room in straight, ran home strongly.
8 SUNNY KING (CH105) E Saint-Martin XB/H/TT Began well, raced in midfield 2-wide 3-4Ls away, used little in run, made dash with the eventual 2nd on straightening, kept going to just go down at the line.
3 JOY AND FUN (CH014) B Doyle CP Jumped ok, positioned in midfield 3-wide 3Ls behind the pace, taken wider on bend, produced good finish in the straight but the first three were too strong.
11 TIBER (CD155) Y T Cheng XB/TT Quickly into stride, ridden along to take up running at a steady tempo, disputed lead with another runner as they turned, hit the front soon after straightening, there until 200 M when overhauled by fast finishers.
12 GALLANT LION (CG243) F Coetzee H Out with them, allowed to slide back towards rear, raced 5Ls away on rails, last turning in, had to be manoeuvred for a run, picked up strongly once clear at 250 M.
14 MY CHOICE (CC283) C W Wong B Take back from a very wide draw, cut across to a rail position at the rear, began to improve round the bend, made up plenty of ground in the straight.
7 SIGHT WINNER (CJ049) K L Chui -- Fair to begin, went forward but unable to cut inside, raced 3-wide outside leaders 2Ls back, worked hard without cover on turning, had every chance in straight but lacked an extra gear, just kept on.
13 KINGS FALCON (CJ185) M Du Plessis H Slow to begin, pressed on to move forward, raced keenly on the heels of the leader, kept to rails throughout, couldn't muster on straightening and ran home one-paced.
5 GOLD STRIKER (CD365) Z Purton -- Even jump, showed early pace to track leaders in a 2-wide running line, well covered on the turn, crowded for room early in straight but once clear at 300 M unable to quicken.
2 EXCELLENT BOY (CE238) O Doleuze P Moderate beginning, settled at the rear 6Ls behind leaders 2-wide, remained there until the home straight, switched to outside for run, couldn't pick up when required, weakened from 200 M.
1 JOYFUL WINNER (CE045) D Beadman TT Standard break, taken back to hold a rearward position 6Ls off the pace, 3-wide and last turning in, failed to stride out and did not close the race off. (Jockey reported action unbalanced.)
10 KING ENCOSTA (CG247) W C Marwing TT No speed from outset, ridden along to maintain a worse than midfield position 5Ls off the leaders, raced 3-wide on the bend, showed nothing in straight and was well beaten.
9 CALIFORNIAMOUNTAIN (CG310) H W Lai TT Away quickly, allowed to stride on to tackle race leader, held a narrow lead on bend, found little in straight before dropped out from 300 M.
