1 SYLLABUS (CD388) E Saint-Martin B/TT Average break, ridden to maintain a position in midfield 4Ls back along the fence, had a smooth run throughout, waited with until last 200 M, made a strong run down the inside to get there just in time.
13 WHATABOB (CD213) J Victoire SR/TT2 Bounced out, sat behind leaders never far off the pace, brought with a challenge inside 400 M, ran on strongly to hit front inside 100 M, looked a winner but was caught right on the line.
9 SUNNY GOLF (CH138) Z Purton XB/TT Quickly into stride, rolled forward to share lead under a fast tempo, showed a tendancy to hang in, pulled 2Ls clear going into straight, ket on but weakened inside 100 M.
4 GREAT ACHIEVEMENT (CD250) H W Lai TT Broke well, soon settled in a handy position behind fast running leaders, into clear 350 M, responded positively when asked for effort, kept on well to line for a creditable 4th.
6 TOP HONOR (CE183) O Doleuze -- Taken back on jumping, soon parked on the fence and raced in a rearward position, trailed 8Ls to leader down the back straight, made even progress down the inside without seriously threatening.
12 YOUNG HERO (CH071) M L Yeung -- Even break, pushed along to maintain a midfield position about 4Ls back, taken wide on turning, ran on OK in straight but didn't pose a threat to the leaders.
7 SILVER SUN (CE126) P H Lo -- Away with them, unable to cross and was forced wide on the first turn, slowly crept forward to race prominently behind leaders, unable to sprint with them under pressure, gradually faded inside 200 M.
3 DANESIS (CH194) W C Marwing TT Slightly awkward away, didn't muster speed and travelled in an unexpected position near the rear, had plenty to do coming off the bend, made some headway down the outside but was overall disappointing. (Lame next day.)
5 SOUNDS BEST (CE255) K T Yeung TT Began with best, parked in a 2-wide position behind midfield 6Ls back, niggling along turning in, gave limited response when asked and ran home one-paced.
2 SIR ERNESTO (CG051) M Du Plessis SR-/P1 Slow out, taken across to fence, raced in a rearward position but unable to settle, couldn't quicken up when placed under pressure and simply plugged away to line.
10 WATCH WHAT HAPPENS (CH145) D Whyte -- Eased back on jumping from the wide barrier, assumed his usual position at the back about 9Ls off the pace, travelled comfortably going into straight but made no progress down the outside. (See Racing Incidents.)
8 LUCKYME (CH012) Y T Cheng B-/TT Took advantage of the low draw and quickly shot into the lead, set a fast tempo, pressed by outside runner down the back straight, struggled to keep up approaching home turn, dropped out rapidly inside 250 M.
11 SUMMERVILLE POWER (CD398) S K Sit CP Struggled from the beginning, commenced to give ground from 1000 M and raced detached in rear, never in contention. (Lame next day.)
