13 HOME TREASURE (CJ208) M Du Plessis -- Began on line, showed good early toe to kick up and lead, set reasonable tempo throughout, 1L clear leaving bend and had rest chasing, established a break and went on for a strong win despite tiring a little late.
9 GRAND CRU (CG265) D Beadman V Broke with line, drifted back to race 6Ls or so away in 3 wide line, had cover in mid-section, improved wide on turning, made plenty of ground down centre to take second late.
6 PRESTO (CJ048) D Whyte -- Standard jump, ended up in 6th spot 4 to 5Ls back on rails, used little to bend and same margin down turning, took a clear 2nd inside 200 M but unable to hold off finish of 2nd final 50 M.
10 QUICK TOUCH (CJ196) E Saint-Martin -- Began fairly, assumed a midfield role 5Ls back in running line, enjoyed an easy time in mid-section, held up for a considerable distance after 400 M, closed hard when clear to make frame.
8 PLAN EX (CJ200) B Prebble B Standard beginning, ended up behind midfield 6 to 7Ls off speed, helped by even tempo, took inside runs turning, made gradual progress through pace to be nearest on line.
4 ROMPING (CK038) M L Yeung B Away well pushed on to take ideal spot 1 out 1 back, had fair trip despite speed, right there and made 3 wide effort on turning, kept on to 200 M but just held ground thereafter.
12 AMPLE GAINS (CE021) C W Wong B/TT Began moderately, taken across to rails, raced 6 to 7Ls back on rails in rearward division, saved ground turning, just kept on at one speed without looking likely.
5 GALAXY TREASURE (CK220) K T Yeung B-/XB1/TT Began respectably, continued forward but allowed to take a trail after 300 M, raced 4Ls back in 2 wide line, didn't pick up on straightening and just battled away late.
14 MEDIC FORTUNE (CK057) H W Lai B Taken back soon after start, ended up 7Ls or so away at rear racing on rails, not travelling on bend, took inside runs and did pick up a little ground final 300 M.
11 ANKH MORPORK (CH306) K L Chui TT No early speed, faded back to rear, raced 7 to 8Ls back sharing rear in 2 wide line, still well back with job to do on turning, made no real progress final 200 M.
7 ARION OF CHIU TON (CK136) O Doleuze B1 Began in line, pushed on to race behind leader 2Ls back, did some work with even speed, shifted 2 wide turning, soon under pressure and weakened easily.
1 DREAM TEAM (CK076) C Soumillon TT Fast away, pressed on but took some time to cross outside leader, raced 1/2L down on bend, niggled turning and lacked usual pick up and gradually faded out. (Didn't handle track.)
3 TOM'S SIX (CG264) C K Tong B- Drifted back from widest alley, settled 7Ls back 3 wide with cover, even run thereafter, still had job to do and switched wide turning, made no impression in straight.
2 SUPER TRAVELLER (CH275) Z Purton -- Amongst first few to break, took hold to obtain trail when unable to cross, raced 3 wide in midfield without cover, dropped out in straight after hard run.
